Alireza Bahadori, Ph.D. Postdoctoral Research Scientist Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory Columbia University in the City of New York
I am a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University in the City of New York.
I am a member of Professor Jacky Austermann's research group and my research interests include: - Crustal Deformation - Lithospheric Dynamics - Mantle Dynamics - Crustal and Mantle Deformation/Flow - Plate Motions (Relative and Absolute) - Numerical Modeling - Earthquake Cycle Deformation - Seismic Hazard I study the structure, tectonics, and interior processes of the Earth. I use numerical modeling tools to study these processes. In particular, I am interested in putting geophysical, geological, and geochemical observations in a geodynamically coherent framework to better understand the dynamics of the lithosphere deformation, mantle convection, and their interaction with surface processes in space and time.
